Batwoman by J.H. Williams III
And yet another cover from February solicits! How beautiful is this?

This is not so much a critique post as it is a conformation of how absurd the standards of art in the comic book industry have become.
I traveled to San Diego Comic Con this year and participated in the portfolio reviews they where holding from Thursday to Sunday….
I love the Art Nouveau meets noir feel of this Batwoman piece. (Barbara’s curves are luscious.) The comic book industry, otoh, is full of dicks and is less inclined to pay attention to setting and mood and more attention to “where’s my tits and ass?”
Hey morons, skinny does not equal athletic. I should know, I’m skinny and have no muscle mass and poor lung capacity.
FYI, that’s Kate Kane, not Babs.
Comic industry, why must you make all these names so similar? Laziness and brand recognition, I suppose.
Of course, being just a dabbler in comics, I didn’t know there *was* a Batwoman, not just a Batgirl. I think I thought Babs got an upgrade from girl to woman in her (ill-thought-out) reboot. (Batgirl, Batwoman, forgive me for wanting to give poor Babs the respect someone her age should have. Any menfolks that age with -boy in their code name? I’m pretty certain it’s why Superboy never seems to age much past 16, even as the Robins grow up around him.)

Artist Alex Heizer’s Batwoman - a direct response to the “Batwoman SDCC 2012 Controversy.”
Kate Kane has no patience for sexist BS
“‘Kay, ‘cause I’m BATMAN!”
“…I liked you better when you were the one with the firm ass…If I were to go that way…”
Seriously though, this is asking for an ‘all the female characters beating the shit out of that guy’ picture.
